How it works

A slim frame - black or white - is fixed to the wall. A 24 mm PET core fills the bay inside it. Then the cloth is stretched over the whole thing and tucked into a hidden jaw around the edge - held flat by tension, not by glue or staples. The result is one uniform, dead-flat wall: nothing padded, nothing uneven. From the front you see fabric, and nothing else.

25.4 mm. Three layers.

Side cross-section: the 25.4 mm track fixed to the substrate

A slim track, 25.4 mm deep, fixed around the perimeter and along each division. Its flange lies inboard - under the future cloth - which is why the finished wall shows fabric, not frame.

Side cross-section: the 24 mm PET core seated in the bay

A 24 mm PET core fills the bay between the tracks, stopping clear of the jaws so nothing fouls the cloth path.

Side cross-section: the cloth stretched over the core and tucked into the jaw

The cloth is gripped by a toothed jaw around every edge. The excess coils inside a hidden chamber - pull the cloth and it tightens against itself. That is the whole mechanism.

A hotel lounge with a plain white wall and two Perlisten S4i-LCRS in-wall loudspeakers recessed flush into it, grilles off. The same wall, the same room, now dressed in white stretch fabric - the loudspeakers are invisible.

The sound system is in this picture.

Stretch fabric is acoustically transparent - sound walks through it as if it weren't there. So the speakers go behind the wall, and the cloth becomes the grille. In a restaurant, it's the speaker nobody wants to see. In your living room, it's music with no box. In a home cinema, it's every speaker - gone.

A dedicated home cinema wrapped in dark stretch fabric - star ceiling, wide screen, two seat rows, and not a loudspeaker in sight

16 speakers0 in sight

Born for cinema.

The room with the biggest sound system in the house is the room where you see none of it. This is what the system was born for.

This theater runs sixteen loudspeakers - behind the screen wall, down both sides, overhead. Not one of them is visible. Every one of them is heard.

Psychoacoustics explains why that matters: sight overrules hearing. While a speaker is in view, the brain pins the sound to the box - the room stays a room. With every box out of sight, the sound belongs to the picture alone. That is the difference between watching a film and being inside one.

Cutaway of a cinema baffle wall: timber framing and insulation carrying the recessed front stage and subwoofers, continuing behind a frameless acoustically transparent projection screen that sits flush with the wall

Any Depth. Any Wall.

A cinema is deep construction on every side - a framed baffle wall carrying the mains and subwoofers up front, surround speakers set into the side walls, rears and more subwoofers behind the seats.

No two walls ask for the same depth: the front stage runs deep, a side wall may step out no more than a hand's width.

The track doesn't care. It adapts to each wall - deep where the speakers need it, shallow where they don't - and dresses the whole room.

The screen belongs to the same story. An acoustically transparent screen fabric doesn't need its own frame - the track that tensions the wall cloth tensions the screen cloth.

And the picture sits flush in the wall, drawn by the same hairline line as every other field.

  • 0padding - tensioned dead flat, uniform across the wall
  • 25.4 mmoff the wall - the whole system
  • 209colourways across 8 textile lines - each line its own texture

Composed of fields.

A stretch surface is built from fields - one cloth per field, meeting in fine lines you place on purpose.

Centre a line on the screen. Align one with the joinery. Split a wall into even bands, or run one wide and one narrow. Give each field its own colourway - two tones on one wall reads as intent. The module comes from the cloth itself, and it gives freedom of design.

Five profiles. Every edge solved.

Perimeter, mid-seam, floating edge, concealed edge - every condition a room presents has a track that answers it. You choose a look, straight or beveled; the edges resolve themselves.

You're seeing them here centimetres away, and bare. Dressed and at room scale, each one resolves to a hairline - barely visible up close, lost at distance.

The perimeter track. Both styles use it wherever a field meets a wall, ceiling or floor.

Double straight

Two fields share one channel; the join reads as a fine crease, most visible face-on.

Double beveled

Concealed

The floating-frame profile. Cloth wraps the edge; nothing of the frame in view, even edge-on.

The Floating Plane.

With the concealed profile, the cloth wraps the frame's own edge. A field floats on the wall - clear of ceiling and skirting - and from any angle, the only thing that marks its edge is a fabric arris about a millimetre wide. Several fields on one wall. Any colourway on each. This is the profile story the whole page builds toward.

209 ways to dress a room.

Eight textile lines, each with its own weave and texture - 209 colourways across them. Every line, every colourway, below. Any field can carry its own.

Any space you can point at.

Walls and ceilings, full coverage or floating fields - the same 25.4 mm system, dressed for the room it lives in.
